Poetry island at THE BLUE WALNUT, TORQUAY

THURSDAY 26th JANUARY 7.30pm

An evening of performance poetry featuring some of the finest poets from the South West! Tom Austin, Chris Brooks, Joanna Hatfull, Mike Hodgson, Susan Taylor, Simon Williams to name but six! Host Robert Garnham will be doing a headline slot inspired by the work of Professor Zazzo Thiim!

Costs £4.50 and this includes a programme which you can keep. Let the fun and the games begin!

Trade winds at THE TRADESMANS ARMS, SCORITON

SUNDAY 26nd FEBRUARY 7.30pm

It’s time for a whole new year of this ever popular Dartmoor acoustic night for poets, singers, musicians, storytellers & wandering bards of all kinds. It’s in the bar and it’s free and everyone’s welcome to take part, or to listen. Ably mc’d by your host, Simon Williams, with occasional interruptions from his partner in poetry, Susan Taylor (!) Note to the beer drinking folk - The Tradesmans Arms is in the new CAMRA guide and also has a full menu to enjoy in a remarkably convivial setting.

Celebrated world-wide, and there will be a performance event in Totnes, of course. It will be planned and organised, as a fundraiser on behalf of Oxfam. Watch this space!
