Autumnal breezes are sweeping across Dartmoor & in the season of mists and mellow
fruitfulness it’s time for a new season of this ever popular Dartmoor acoustic night
for poets, singers, musicians, storytellers & wandering bards of all kinds. It’s
in the bar and it’s free and everyone’s welcome to take part, or to listen. We were
a bit thin on the ground for our first session last month, so please come and support
again, if you can. Note to the beer drinking folk -

An evening of First World War poems, prose and songs for Remembrance Day
This performance will tour locations in and around Totnes in the five days leading up to Remembrance Day. All performances begin at 7pm, with free admission and a retiring collection in aid of charity. (N.B.Venues at Totnes and Broadhempston to be confirmed.)

Derwent poetry festival at MASSON MILLS, MATLOCK BATH
FRIDAY 11th NOVEMBER (6pm) to SUNDAY 13th NOVEMBER
with guest reading by Mimi Khalvati on Saturday evening (12th), and throughout the weekend readings from Clive Allen, Andrew Jamison and Christopher James the 2011 Templar Award winners, plus the three winners of the inaugural Straid Collection Awards, Kathleen Jones, Susanne Ehrhardt and Martin Malone, all reading from their new collections. All in all, ten new poetry titles from Templar Poetry will be launched in this unique event in the poetry calendar. There are also three anthology readings throughout the festival and the events are being recorded for release later as an audio CD and on the Templar website.
