Poetry Teignmouth Competition 2020 - Winners Reading

Open Competition Winners, Jo Haslam, Lisa Kelly & Tim Waller, plus Teignmouth winners, Liz Diamond, Edward Aldous & Mark Cooper share their winning poems & others in this celebratory evening, which also includes readings from the judges, Hannah Lowe (Open Competition) & Susan Taylor & Simon Williams (Teignmouth Competition). The winning poems, 'The Kiss' by Jo Haslam and 'Harvesting with my Granddaughter' by Liz Diamond, although quite different in many ways, capture the profoundly tender moments of love between a grandmother and granddaughter. Poetry Teignmouth are also delighted to welcome three other guest readers, their main judge, Hannah Lowe and the local judges, Susan Taylor & Simon Williams to this grand evening of Poetry at the Mill hosted by Veronica Aaronson and Virginia Griem on Zoom. Hannah Lowe was one of 20 Next Generation British poets in 2014. She has published 2 collections and 4 chapbooks, her most recent being The Neighbourhood (Outspoken Press, 2019). Husband and wife poetry team, Susan Taylor & Simon Williams have been writing since their teens and have seventeen published collections between them, including a co-authored pamphlet, The Weather House, published in 2017 by Indigo Dreams.
